Wonaco Casino Terms and Conditions: Full Player Guide for New Zealand

Wonaco Casino operates under a set of terms that every player should read before registering. These rules cover how accounts work, what happens with your money, how bonuses behave, and what can get your account restricted or closed. Below is a plain-language summary of what matters most.

What You’re Agreeing To

When you register at Wonaco, you accept the general T&C, the Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice, any active bonus terms, individual game rules, and any other conditions tied to specific site features. All of these apply together.

If a specific promotion’s terms conflict with the general terms, the promotion terms take priority.

The official language of the terms is English. If you’re using a translated version, English governs in any dispute.

Account Registration

Each player gets one account. One per household address, phone number, email address, and IP address. Opening extras – even accidentally – creates what Wonaco calls “Duplicate Accounts.” The consequences are serious: all actions on duplicate accounts are voided, any promotions used are cancelled, winnings are void, processed withdrawals are reversed, and the accounts are permanently closed.

Your account must be in your real name. You’re responsible for keeping login credentials secure. If someone accesses your account with the correct username and password, Wonaco treats that as your activity. They hold no liability for unauthorized access.

Buying, selling, or transferring accounts in any form is strictly prohibited. That applies in both directions.

Keeping your registration details current is your responsibility. If anything changes, update it.

Closing your account: Email support@wonaco.com. The account can only be closed with a zero balance and no pending withdrawals. If you close with funds still in the account, those funds are voided.

Self-exclusion: Contact the same support address. Once excluded, you must not open new accounts. Wonaco isn’t responsible for losses on any other accounts you might have or open.

Identity Verification

Wonaco can request identity documents at any stage – before or after deposits, and always before processing withdrawals. Standard documents include a government-issued ID, proof of address, and proof of ownership of any payment method used.

You have 30 days to provide what’s requested. Withdrawals are held until verification is complete. Standard verification takes up to 10 business days once all documents are submitted, though complex cases take longer.

Wonaco may use third-party identity services, credit reference agencies, or fraud prevention software. Face verification and phone calls are also possible.

Deposits

Minimum and maximum deposit amounts are set at Wonaco’s discretion. Your balance earns no interest and carries no bank insurance.

By depositing, you agree not to chargeback or dispute the transaction. If you do, you cover Wonaco’s resulting costs.

Refunds

Refunds aren’t standard. They may be considered in exceptional cases – mainly technical failures on Wonaco’s side or with the payment system. To be eligible:

  • Contact support within 24 hours of the transaction
  • Wonaco will review within 10 business days
  • No refund is possible after the deposit or associated bonus has been used to place any bet
  • All active bonus funds and any winnings derived from them are deducted before calculating the refund amount
  • Full identity verification must be completed before any refund is processed

All refund decisions are final and at Wonaco’s sole discretion.

Withdrawals

Before any withdrawal can be approved, deposited funds and winnings must meet a minimum monthly wagering requirement of 40 NZD within the calendar month of the withdrawal request.

There’s also a rollover condition: your total bets must equal at least the amount of your last deposit. If that threshold isn’t met, Wonaco can cancel winnings and retain a 10% commission (minimum 1 NZD) on the last deposit. That commission rises to 15% if the deposit was made via bank card or bank transfer.

Withdrawal limits are based on your VIP level, which Wonaco calculates from your deposit and withdrawal activity over the previous 90 days. If you haven’t been actively betting for a month, your level automatically drops to the lowest tier. You can have a maximum of 3 pending withdrawals at any time.

The financial department processes requests within 3 business days of submission, operating Monday–Friday, 6 AM–5 PM GMT. After the financial department approves the request, any further delays are outside Wonaco’s control.

Wonaco may delay processing to run identity or compliance checks. They can also postpone payment until all verification procedures are complete.

Customer funds are held separately from company funds in dedicated client bank accounts. In the event of insolvency, your funds are protected and returned to you.

Inactive accounts: If you don’t log in for 180 days, the account is flagged as inactive. Wonaco may charge 10 NZD per month as an administration fee while it remains inactive. If your balance drops below 10 NZD, the full remaining amount is charged. Once the balance hits zero, no further fees apply.

Bonuses and Promotions

The basics

All bonuses come with wagering requirements. Real money balance is wagered first. Once it’s depleted, the bonus balance is used.

Default requirements, unless a specific promotion states otherwise:

  • No-deposit bonuses: wager 40x the bonus amount. Maximum withdrawal is 5x the bonus. A 20 NZD no-deposit bonus caps out at a 100 NZD withdrawal. Anything above that is voided.
  • Deposit bonuses: wager 35x the combined deposit + bonus amount. Maximum withdrawal is 10x the bonus amount. A 20 NZD deposit bonus caps at 200 NZD withdrawal.

Casino bonus wagering must be completed within 10 days of receiving the bonus. Sports bonus wagering has a 30-day window. After those deadlines, the bonus and all derived winnings are voided.

Attempting to withdraw before wagering is complete voids the bonus balance and all winnings from it.

No-deposit free spin winnings are capped at 160 NZD and carry a 40x wagering requirement.

Game contribution rates

Different games contribute different amounts toward clearing wagering:

Game Type Contribution
Slots (most), Scratch Cards, Keno 100%
Live Games, Video Poker, Plinko 10%
All Table and Card Games 0%
Jackpot Slots, Slingo, Bingo Cannot be played with bonus

Some specific live-show style games (Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Monopoly) contribute 50%. Another group of games contributes only 10%. There are also two separate lists – excluded games that contribute 0%, and prohibited games that cannot be played at all while a bonus is active. Both lists are long and worth checking before you start wagering with any bonus funds.

Bonus abuse

Wonaco monitors for strategies designed to clear wagering requirements at minimal risk. The following are explicitly prohibited while a bonus is active:

  • Low-risk roulette bets covering 24 or more of the 37 spots on the table
  • Individual bets exceeding 200 NZD before wagering requirements are met
  • Switching from low-weighted to high-weighted games after a big win to clear wagering faster
  • Switching from high-risk to low-risk betting after a big win for the same purpose
  • Two-tier betting strategies
  • Deliberately starting a bonus round or game feature and completing it after wagering is met or after the bonus expires
  • Any other strategy Wonaco considers abusive at their discretion

Breaking these rules results in all bonus winnings being voided and future promotions being denied.

Each bonus is limited to one per person, household, phone number, and IP address.

Placing Bets

Once a bet is placed, it’s final on your end. You can’t cancel it. Wonaco can decline or cancel any bet at their discretion, before or after placement.

Game results are determined by a Random Number Generator. If what you see on screen differs from the server result, the server record is what counts. Wonaco’s records are treated as conclusive evidence in any dispute.

Prohibited Activities

These will result in account closure, voided winnings, and potentially a report to authorities:

  • Using the site commercially or on behalf of another person
  • Using payment methods that don’t belong to you
  • Chargebacks or deposit disputes
  • Exploiting software bugs or using automation tools
  • Collusion with other players, including sharing information or coordinating bets
  • Zero-margin, hedge, or low-risk systematic betting
  • Money laundering or financing illegal activities
  • Harassing players or staff
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the site’s systems
  • Opening or acquiring duplicate accounts

Wonaco can act immediately upon suspicion – blocking accounts, withholding withdrawals, voiding balances – without prior notice.

Limitations of Liability

Wonaco doesn’t accept liability for losses resulting from:

  • Errors you made entering information
  • Delays caused by identity verification holds
  • Technical failures, internet issues, or software problems
  • Third-party access to your account using your credentials
  • Consequences of gambling in a jurisdiction where it’s restricted

Using the site is your decision, and you accept all associated risks.

Changes to the Terms

Wonaco can change the terms at any time. Updates take effect from the date shown in the document. It’s your responsibility to check for changes. Continuing to use the site after changes are made counts as acceptance, regardless of whether you read the updates.

Complaints

Start by emailing support@wonaco.com. If the issue isn’t resolved at first contact, escalate by sending a detailed written complaint to complaints@wonaco.com. Include:

  • Account username
  • Full registered name
  • Send from your registered email address
  • Use “COMPLAINT” in the subject line
  • A full description of the issue
  • Relevant dates and times

The Complaints Resolution Committee will respond within 10 business days. Complex cases may take longer. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome, external dispute resolution is available through askgamblers.com.

Sports Betting

The minimum bet is 1 NZD equivalent. Bets can’t be cancelled once confirmed (Cash Out is the only early settlement option). All bets are settled using American odds, regardless of the display format selected.

Parlays combining selections within the same event aren’t accepted, except through the BetBuilder feature.

If an event is cancelled, postponed more than 12 hours, or changes venue or opponents, all bets on that event are voided. If a match is abandoned, bets on already-determined markets stand; undetermined markets are void.

Cash Out lets you settle a bet early and lock in a result. Partial Cash Out lets you settle part of a bet while leaving the rest running. Both features can be suspended at any time, and acceptance isn’t guaranteed. Cash Out isn’t available on free bets.

BetBuilder lets you combine multiple outcomes within the same match – goals, corners, cards, and similar – into a single bet with combined odds. If any single selection in a BetBuilder is void, the entire bet is void.

Individual sport settlement rules are detailed in Section 17 of the full terms, covering football, basketball, tennis, golf, ice hockey, and over a dozen other sports.

Gamification and Rewards

Coins and Challenges

Wonaco has a gamification system built around Coins. You earn them by completing Weekly Challenges (split into Casino and Sports sections) and One-Time Challenges. You also earn 1 Coin for every 20 NZD wagered in casino games, and 5% of each deposit is credited as Coins.

Shop

Coins can be exchanged in the Shop for:

  • Casino bonuses – 40x wagering requirement, maximum 5x the bonus value released to real balance. Valid for 10 days.
  • Bonus spins – must be activated within 7 days. Winnings carry a 40x wagering requirement with a 100 NZD maximum release to real balance. Valid for 10 days.
  • Free bets – valid in the Sports section only. Must be activated within 24 hours. The full stake must be used at once. Winnings roll over 3x at minimum odds of 2.10 per selection. Valid for 30 days from activation.

Bonus Crab

Once per 24-hour period, a qualifying deposit of 20 NZD unlocks one attempt at a claw machine. Prizes include cash rewards (subject to 1x wagering), bonuses (50x wagering, 5x max release), free spins (40x wagering, 100 NZD max release), or Coins. If more than one prize is won in a single attempt, only one is awarded at random. Maximum bet while bonus funds are active is 10 NZD.
